- Design of Equipment Foundations - Design of equipment foundations requires an understanding of dynamic loads caused by equipment and the behaviour of soils under such loads. Different types of foundations are used to support structures subjected to dynamic loads or vibration producing machines. This course will focus on the analysis and design of these foundations.
- Mechanical Engineering For Non-Mechanical Engineers - This course will explain the basic concepts that underlie the application of Mechanical Engineering practice, is of benefit to both the individual and the industry in which the individual is employed. The procurement, installation and operation of equipment is often under the control of Engineers and Technicians who, although qualified in their own discipline, may not have received formal Mechanical Engineering training.
These are the current requirements for renewing your Nebraska Engineering license. We will always provide the newest information available and will update the requirements as soon as there are changes.
- To renew your Engineering License in the state of Nebraska, you are required to complete continuing education every 2 years.
- Licensees whose last names begin with A – K will need to renew their license by December 31 of odd years. Licensees whose last names begin with L – Z will need to renew their license by December 31 of even years.
- Licensees must complete any of the state mandated continuing education requirements or they must complete 30 hours of engineer related learning.
- No pre-approval of any continuing education courses will be given. One-half of the requirements may be carried over to the next renewal cycle.
- Licensees will be required to maintain a record of continuing education completion for a minimum of three years. The board will conduct random audits.
These courses have not been approved for continuing education. However, the following courses are based on subject matter approved in most states to fulfill continuing education requirements for Nebraska Engineering. These courses will be beneficial to your industry.
