- Mold Prevention - Now that mold is a hot topic in the construction industry, this course will cover sources of mold, new construction and mold, rightsizing, standards and regulations, liability, and litigation.
- Using Gypsum in New Construction - This continuing education course provides current information on drywall and veneer plaster construction, coventional lath and plaster construction, suspended accoustical ceiling systems, and general construction.
These are the current requirements for renewing your Nebraska Architects license. We will always provide the newest information available and will update the requirements as soon as there are changes.
- To renew your Architect License in the state of Nebraska, you are required to complete continuing education every 2 years.
- Licensees whose last names begin with A – K will need to renew their license by December 31 of odd years. Licensees whose last names begin with L – Z will need to renew their license by December 31 of even years.
- There are many ways that licensees can complete the continuing education requirements. They may complete 2 NCARB monographs during the 2-year renewal cycle or complete state mandated continuing education requirements. They may also comply with requirements of the AIA or successfully complete 24 hours of architecture related learning, 16 of those hours must pertain to safeguarding life, health, and property.
- No pre-approval of any continuing education courses will be given. One-half of the requirements may be carried over to the next renewal cycle.
- Licensees will be required to maintain a record of continuing education completion for a minimum of three years. The board will conduct random audits.
These courses have not been approved for continuing education. However, the following courses are based on subject matter approved in most states to fulfill continuing education requirements for Nebraska Architects. These courses will be beneficial to your industry.
